How do we choose a new street name?

Phase 1: Submitting proposals

You can submit proposals for a new street name in the spring. In the rules, you will find all the information that your idea must meet. 

Phase 2: Selection of 5 names by the college

All the ideas published on this platform are presented to the municipal executive committee. They make a shortlist based on a number of criteria (the link with the municipality, the motivation, the clarity of the street name). 

Phase 3: Online vote

In the third phase it is up to you again: the shortlist is presented to the residents of our municipality. Votes can be cast via this platform. Every inhabitant can give 1 vote. This vote is binding: the most popular street name will be realised!

Phase 4: Inauguration of the new street name

The new street name will be officially inaugurated in the autumn.
