Rules

The aim of the online platform is to give as many people and organisations as possible the opportunity to inform themselves or to contribute. To interact on the platform (contribute, react, vote ...) you need an account. You can read how we deal with the data we collect in our privacy statement. On this page you will find the rules for submitting an entry.

These entries are subject to a number of rules so that we can keep things open and constructive. Contributions that do not comply with the rules will not be published unless they can be corrected.

Rules:

  • Each submission consists of a street name with the name of a woman. Other suggestions or ideas will be rejected for this project.
  • The new street name must not yet exist or resemble existing street names too much.
  • The new street name cannot be named after a living woman.
  • The street name must be understandable and usable.
  • Each entry should be accompanied by a motivation of max. 1000 characters.
  • Entries that are not related to the project can be rejected by the moderators.
  • Entries that can be labelled as racist, hateful, insulting, offensive ... will be deleted by the moderator.
  • Entries that are directed towards individuals (e.g. personal replies or comments) will be deleted by the moderator.
  • We keep the project transparent and fair. Users who want to contribute with false or misleading profiles (no plausible first name or surname is entered (e.g. X7zg3 or Darth Vader) will be deleted by the moderator.
  • The content of entries that are protected by copyright may be deleted by the moderator.
  • Entries not written in English may be rejected.
  • Entries that can be considered as (hidden) advertisements, that contain links to other websites (not related to the questions) or that can be considered as spam, may be deleted by the moderator.

How do we apply the rules?

  • New entries: a new entry does not automatically appear on the platform. It is first reviewed by a (team of) moderator(s). Therefore, you will not see your entry appear immediately. In times of great pressure on the site (e.g. after much press attention about this project) this may take more time.
  • Comments: comments will appear immediately on the platform, to encourage discussion of the content. Reactions can be "reported as inappropriate" by website visitors. Reactions can be deleted by moderators after they have been posted online.
  • You get a message: when your entry has been dealt with, or your comment deleted, you get a message from the moderator via email. You can then submit a new entry or post a comment that complies with the rules of the game.
  • Your access can be blocked: The moderators can block users who repeatedly ignore the rules from contributing on the platform.
